Feathers, fins, fur and more! Join us for activities exploring classification, camouflage, and animal life cycles. Our scientists study the diversity of animals on earth. Step into the shoes of a naturalist and create your own casts of animal tracks to take home.


Atmosphere & Beyond

We’re on a mission to explore the atmosphere on Earth, and beyond! Travel to the end of the rainbow and make a sunset! Mix up various planetary atmospheres, one molecule at a time and take home your very own Meteorological Station™.


Be Tobacco Free

Be Tobacco Free is designed to educate on the direct & indirect effects of tobacco use on the body.


Black and Blue Oceans

Students devise and test techniques to handle the aftermath of an oil spill, in an oil spill simulation, and discuss how to clean up and prevent the pollution that plagues our oceans.


Body Basics

Kids study the science of their insides by learning about the major systems of the human body. They learn about how their food is digested, how their blood flows through their bodies, and how their brain controls all of these parts.



Students explore the world's most abundant animals. How do insects defend themselves? What is their role in the ecosystem? These questions and more will be answered with fun, hands-on activities that introduce these fascinating creatures.


"Current" Events

Take a tour on the electron freeway! Conductors, insulators, transistors, and other elements in the world of circuit electricity introduce themselves to you via the tingle in your fingertips and the twinkle in your eye.



Take some worms, add some food scraps, and what do you get; fertilized soil and a whole lot of fun! This workshop breaks down the science of decomposition and reveals the work of worms and other decomposers.


Detective Science

Discover how science is used to solve real crimes! Watch as the classroom is transformed into a crime lab for this exciting exploration of the fundamentals of forensics. Children will even take home their very own Personal Profiler. It’s so much fun, it’s criminal!



Kids examine fossil casts and explore the differences in the teeth of herbivorous and carnivorous dinosaurs. Students participate in a mini dinosaur excavation and make a cast of a dinosaur tooth to take home.


Dry Ice Capades

Manipulate matter in all of its three states! Melt metal in boiling water and freeze water with just a breath of dry ice! Use your Thermocolor Cup™ to test the temperature of liquid matter in your home!


Earth Works

Take a voyage to the center of the Earth! We'll investigate the powerful processes that shape the planet and form remarkable rocks, magnificent minerals, and glittering gems! Children will take home a Sedimentary Stacker that they have built themselves.



Students excite electrons as they construct some serious circuits during this program all about electricity. They test various materials for conductivity. Finally, they create and play a buzz-making electric game.


Energy Burst

Explore the energy of motion (potential versus kinetic energy), and how energy can be conserved. Spring into action with poppers, spring things and jumping frogs. Build your own catapult to take home.


Sound Basics

Kids surf sound waves in this “offbeat” class. They will explore how sounds are created and transmitted.


Exploring Ecosystems

Students investigate the interconnections present in nature. They build ecosystem models, explore the elements of energy webs, reflect on how humans impact ecosystems, and use field journals for everyday explorations, and more.


Fantastic Flyers

The Wright Brothers would be proud as we follow in their footsteps and learn the fundamental principles of flight. Build a glider, control surfaces and your very own loop-flying stunt plane. You’ll be a Top Gun after this class.


"Fun"-damental Forces

Gravity…Inertia…Centripetal force…who could ever imagine that an introduction to physics could be so much fun? We’ll experience these awesome forces for ourselves and build some cool devices to watch them at work.


Good Vibrations

Kids investigate the science of sound in this hands-on introduction to the basics of vibration, frequency, and pitch. They discover how instruments use vibration to make music and are amazed as they hear bells ring through their fingers.


Harnessing Heat

Witness the heating power of friction when you shake things up to learn the properties of heat. Build a thermometer and change the color of paper with the heat in your hands!



Who gave us Morse code? How about earmuffs or the light bulb? Children are guided from observation through experimentation on their journey to becoming a great inventor.


Junior Reactors

Create a tiny world of atoms with your very own set of Atomic Coins™! Learn to recognize chemical reactions and mix up a few reactive ingredients for some sensational results!


Kitchen Chemistry

Cooking is all about chemistry! Students will be introduced to the virtual laboratory we call a kitchen in a novel and practical application of science! Dinnertime will never be the same.


Lab Works

Try your hand as a real Mad Scientist in this whirlwind program on how a lab works! Learn to manipulate laboratory equipment at your personal lab bench, and face an exciting power pipetting challenge! Take home your very own Scientific Cylinder Kit™ to continue your research!


Life in the Sea

What is life like under the ocean’s surface? What kind of animals and plants are found in the sea? Discuss the differences between starfish, sea urchins and other sea creatures. Learn about buoyancy and adaptation. Make your own Cartesian diver and find out what humans must do in order to explore the deep, dark depths of our planet’s oceans.


Lights, Color, Action

Uncover the hidden components in ordinary light and see Newton’s color wheel turn a rainbow of colors into one. Experiment with prisms and diffraction lenses while you explore the color spectrum of various light sources.


Living in Space

Experience the life of an astronaut as you suit up for space flight! Use teamwork to complete an important space mission and attempt to complete your very own Spacewalk Mission™!


Mad Machines

Elementary-age engineers will work with pulleys and levers. They will design, problem-solve, and have a whole lot of fun! Students will even take home a cool Mad Science Machine that they build themselves!


Matter of Fact

Students explore molecules and the forces that hold atoms together. They see the dramatic differences between physical and chemical changes, as they mix up a batch of their very own Mad Science Putty to take home.


Measure for Measure

Children learn all about the metric system of measurement and trek through a treasure trail.


Mineral Mania

Students recreate the process of rock formation and devise ways to identify and classify rocks and minerals. They experience the thrill of panning for gems; the gems they find, they can take home for further study and investigation.


Mischievous Magnets

What makes some metal magnetic? What shapes do magnetic fields invisibly form around different-shaped magnets? Can compasses really help you find your way? Kids discover the answers to these questions and many more.


Mix It Up

Shake up the idea of water and solutions. Pick up concepts of physical mixtures, solutions, and suspensions as you clarify water and separate mixtures. Take home your own Super Sorter!


Movie Effects

Grab your popcorn but don’t sit back! We’re going to learn first-hand how advances in science and technology make our favorite special effects possible! Children will take home their own Cartoon Creator! It’s Einstein meets Spielberg in a class of 3…2…1…action!


Moving Motion

Catapult into Newton’s three laws of motion! Perform hands-on experiments to investigate friction, inertia, motion and forces. Twirl into action with the Newton Spinner and continue the fun at home.


Optical Illusions

Build your own periscope while learning about optics, reflection and sight. Watch images change before your very eyes! Seeing is not always believing.


P.H. Phactor

Slide down the colorful pH scale and dip into the world of acids and bases! Explore the extremes of pH with your Reaction Tube™ in what is sure to be a stopper-popping experience! Discover whether liquids found in your home are acids or bases using your personal Phantastic pH Paper™!



This workshop provides students with an introduction to photosynthesis, including an understanding of the chemical processes at work in plants, plant respiration, and the role of plants in food webs.

Discover the strengths of triangles, cylinders and arches. Learn how combinations of these shapes make for sturdy homes and skyscrapers! Use teamwork to build your own super structures as well as an earthquake-proof building.


Tantalizing Taste

Experiment with taste sensations while “mapping” out your tongue. Use skittles testing to compare your sense of smell and taste. Carbonate and taste your very own soda pop and take the “Mad Science” taste challenge.


Turn Up the Volume

Students are introduced to the scientific process involved in the measurement of volume, through a series of activities and experiments. They fill-up on the physics of liquids and practice techniques fit for a lab tech!


Under Pressure

Join Bernoulli and Newton as we take this exciting look at the science behind aerodynamics and the properties of air…under pressure. Use a vortex generator to create air pockets with a punch, and levitate ping-pong balls in defiance of gravity.


Walloping Weather

Discover how hurricanes, tornadoes, and thunderstorms develop, and how powerful they can be! Equipped with their Ultaviolet detector that they make themselves, students may offer more reliable forecasts than the local news.


Watts Up

Learn about electricity, its properties and its role in natural phenomena. Make indoor lightning while conducting hair-raising experiments with our electro-static generator.


Where’s the Air?

This dynamic class explores the concepts of air pressure and buoyancy through hands-on experimentation and thought-provoking demonstrations.
