My son attended the Secret Agent Lab last week (7/8-12) at Stiener Ranch. He is 7 and he loved it. He was very excited at the end of every day and loved to talk about the experiments. Funny, on the first day they created a cell. It was made out of beans and other common items. He put it in our new car. This past weekend we started smelling a sour milk smell instead of that lovely new car smell. I quized my son about spilling in the car and he assured me he hadn't. I sniffed just about every square inch of the SUV but couldn't find it. Finally, on Tuesday,7/16, I located the source of the smell. It was the cell. The beans had started fermenting or something. OH my it smelled bad. When my son smelled it, he laughed and said "Well Mommy, you know cells die. Guess this one's dead too." Happy to say that the new car smell is back.

My son loved the camp, and the activities were very fun and educational. We got a lot of great take-home activities and projects. My one quibble is that with the camp being housed at GattiTown, the kids ate pizza/pudding every day for lunch and played arcade games each day. Would have loved if this had been the Friday 'special' lunch instead of happening every single day.
Our daughter attended a Mad Science Camp last week and was very sad to see it end. She said she made great friends and had a lot of fun. She often talked about how they laughed about this or that while doing the experiments. She also came home with many educational toys/activities that she enjoys showing her friends. We have signed her up for a few more camps over the summer and hope she feels the same about each one. Thank you!!
My son attended Mad Science Camp this past week. On the 5th and final day, we got in the car to leave. As he finished buckling his seat belt, in a sad voice, he said "I miss it." I asked him what he missed and he said, "science camp". We had only been away from it for a few minutes and he was already sad to be leaving. Needless to say, I found another camp to sign him up for later on in the summer!
My daughter was lucky enough to attend the Secret Agent Lab camp while she was vacationing in Austin last summer. She had a blast! She still spends Saturday afternoons in "her lab" (our kitchen) recreating experiments she tried during camp. I was very impressed with your counselor's ability to combine learning AND fun. Mad Science was - BY FAR - her favorite camp experience to date. I would highly recommend parents to check it out! Thanks again for doing such a fantastic job!
Just wanted to let you know that we had the highest student participation ever at our Science Fair. We had 184 out of our 464 elementary students (plus their parents and even a few grandparents) attend and they enjoyed the Mad Science stations immensely! As usual, your scientists were prompt and highly engaging. Kudos to all of them!
