Birthday Parties
Mad Science is great. My kids have had many presenters through the years. Dr DJ is amazing and fun. My kids have had others in the past, including Ms. Valerie and King Quantum and all have been amazing. I hope my kids will want to have a Mad Science birthday in the future because I always have peace of mind when they are here. I will always have good things to say about this organization.

I just wanted to give you some feedback about our assembly today! Many of the teachers approached me and said wonderful things about the presenter. She did a fantastic job at getting the kids excited and then getting everyone under control when necessary. I had the chance to sit in on it for a bit and she truly did a wonderful job. Thanks so much.

Thanks again,

Summer Camps
Great Job on Eureka and Robot weeks. My kids had a blast and LOVED them both. Thanks!

Summer Camps
My 6 year old had a great time during his week of camp. I loved that he brought home lots of things so we could discuss the topics at home. Some of the topics might have been slightly over his head but this is a perfect environment to introduce them and give us the chance to talk about them more as a family. He looked forward to going every day and we will definitely look into doing it again next year.

Summer Camps
Moving with Science was a great experience for my 8yr old boy. He learned new facts about nature and science while making new friends. We set out the bird feeder he made with a big bowl of water and now we have all kinds of visitors in our yard. He lost something under the couch and used the 'grabber' he made to get it. He was so proud that he made something he could use. In the beginning he was anxious about the agenda and on the final day, I couldn't get him to leave soon enough. Although he says he dislikes coloring or drawing and came home with a few drawings a day, colored projects too. It's a fun week of knowledge and re-socializing over the summer. The teachers were very attentive and patient. He really enjoyed himself and we look forward to the next camp!

Summer Camps
My son attended the spy academy last week and was inspired by the projects and discussions. The teachers kept him busy and engaged while also allowing for creativity. He had much to relay to us after he got home everyday. My only critique was that I wish there was more security for the kids such as checking out at the end of the day. I had to pick my son up early for an appointment one day and the teachers allowed me to leave with him without verifying that I was authorized to pick up. All in all, my son had an amazing time and wants to return.

Summer Camps
My 6 year old loves Mad Science and participates in after school programs as well as camps! However I agree with Christine, he did not understand most of the Secret Agent camp. It seemed the program was geared more toward the older kids (9.). Also, it would have been helpful to him if the instructors had printed off the decode instructions for a take home. (My son was told by the instructor that he could not take any materials home, to work on it at home, because she is responsible for them.). It seemed the camp would have been more fun for him had the way the material was presented been more age appropriate. Suggest dividing the camp into 6-7 and 8-9.

Summer Camps
My girls (6 and 8) really enjoyed the one week Mad Science camp "Moving with Science". Every day they brought home a new project to show off and talk about. It was very hands-on. I "only" gave 4 stars since I am not sure if the 6-year-old understood everything they did. She seemed exhausted after camp each day, commenting that she had to work so hard every day... I think 6 might be a bit young for a camp like that where there is no chance of getting your crazies out in between... I think it was perfect for the 8-year-old!

I just wanted to thank you for posting your review. It means a lot to us that you took the time to share your input. Younger children certainly do not always get a firm grasp on all the science concepts; however we hope that they have fun doing science even if they don’t remember the vocabulary or specific concepts. We strive to foster a love of science and hope that your girls like science more after their camp experience. We appreciate all feedback in hopes of making our programming even better every time. We hope to see you all in the future!

Workshops
We want to thank Mad Science of Austin for a wonderful morning of workshops. I myself was not able to be there for most of it but the kid comments to me during the short visit I made to the room and during lunch were that at least 4 “ We had so much fun this morning with the science lady”. “She is the best scientist I ever met” she being Jill. “She is Awesome” Jill again. I got 6 pairs of thumbs up and 2 of those were from my “I am 11 years old and too old for this camp and say at least one I’m bored a day”. So we want to give Mad Science & Jill Fiebig 2 HUGE thumbs up. Thanks so much it is worth every penny and a great service you offer.

Summer Camps
My son and his friends had a blast at Mad Science Camp last week. The staff was attentive, the activities were fun, and he came home talking about the great things he was learning. He's already looking forward to the after school program at Bryker Woods, and now we know to sign him up for more than one week of summer camp. Thanks for a great experience!

Summer Camps
My boys have had so much fun with their Mad Science Camps this summer!! It's the first time we have done camps for them and I know we are going to be back next summer! We will have done 3 different camps by the end of next week (Secret Agent, Red Hot Robots and Rockets). The learning is deeper than I expected and it is exciting and intriguing my boys....which excites me! The instructors are great and you can tell they really enjoy kids and Science, so that makes the learning and fun parts all the more enjoyable seeing the instructors excited about what they are doing! There is no drag in their day! So glad I found you guys! Happy Kids & Happy Mom!! Special Kudos to Dr DJ and Professor Shooting Star!! Thank you!!

After School Programs
My son attended the Secret Agent Lab last week (7/8-12) at Stiener Ranch. He is 7 and he loved it. He was very excited at the end of every day and loved to talk about the experiments. Funny, on the first day they created a cell. It was made out of beans and other common items. He put it in our new car. This past weekend we started smelling a sour milk smell instead of that lovely new car smell. I quized my son about spilling in the car and he assured me he hadn't. I sniffed just about every square inch of the SUV but couldn't find it. Finally, on Tuesday,7/16, I located the source of the smell. It was the cell. The beans had started fermenting or something. OH my it smelled bad. When my son smelled it, he laughed and said "Well Mommy, you know cells die. Guess this one's dead too." Happy to say that the new car smell is back.

We are glad the new car smell is back too!

After School Programs
My son loved the camp, and the activities were very fun and educational. We got a lot of great take-home activities and projects. My one quibble is that with the camp being housed at GattiTown, the kids ate pizza/pudding every day for lunch and played arcade games each day. Would have loved if this had been the Friday 'special' lunch instead of happening every single day.

Thank you for your kind words. Mad Science does partner with Gattitown and Gattiland to offer camps. At these particular locations, lunch is provided along with a $5.00 game card for each camper. We do offer camps at many other locations which do not include lunch or arcade games. We hope to see you and your son in the future!
